ancient African proverb

I can't say enough wonderful things about The Village Microschool. Before finding it, I spent a long time exploring homeschooling and alternative education approaches like Waldorf and Reggio Emilia. I wanted something screen-free, child-led, and nurturing--somewhere my daughter could truly be a child. The Village has been all of that and more.
From the very first day, it felt like a place where kids can make themselves at home. There is an incredible balance of outdoor play, exploration, and hands-on learning that allows children to lead, discover, and grow at their own pace. The small class sizes have been such a gift, giving my daughter the individualized attention and gentle guidance she truly needs and deserves.
One of the things I value most is that parents have a genuine voice here. We aren't just observers--we're participants. Our input is welcomed, our ideas matter, and we're actively involved in our children's educational journey. It feels like a true partnership.
Seeing my daughter excited to learn has meant everything to me. This was her very first experience being away from me, and she has loved every moment since day one. She looks forward to school, eagerly shares what she's learned, and is building real friendships while gaining confidence every single day.
Beyond the classroom, the sense of community is incredible. We've gained so much more than a school--we've gained a village. The connections with other parents, educators, and families are genuine and supportive. The thoughtfully organized field trips, playdates, and club events make the experience even richer and more meaningful.
Ms. Christine and Ms. Laura pour their hearts into everything they do, and it shows in every detail--the warmth, the intention, the creativity, and the care they give each child.
I'm beyond grateful to have found a place where my daughter is not only learning, but truly thriving. If you're looking for a gentle, child-centered, community-driven approach to early education, I couldn't recommend The Village Microschool more.

We have been homeschooling our son; however, we finally decided that it was time to start incorporating schooling outside of the home into our approach. We wanted to ease into exposing him to a schooling environment one in which we could find a nice mixture of play, small class sizes, flexibility in schedule (1/2 days, full days, or mixture of both), and with individualized instruction with certified teachers.
The Village Microschool offers everything that you could want with an ability to work directly with Mrs. Christine and Mrs. Laura to tailor your child's learning experience to best meet your child's needs. We are in such a hurry for children to grow up and traditional school settings require strict compliance, premature social fit, and regimented schedules in order to operate. If you want an alternative to a traditional school setting and/or desire supplemental learning to complement your homeschooling efforts, The Village Microschool is the best place to send your child.
Your child will experience a healthier balance of learning, play, experimentation, experiences, and a developmentally informed approach to schooling. Our son is absolutely ecstatic every day about going to school, which is exactly how it should be. Without question, the special environment that Mrs. Christine and Mrs. Laura have created will also allow your child to be excited about school too!
